Eco- friendly Ganesh

Sadguru Shri Anirudha Upasana center Ponda – Goa

Under the guidance of Shri Anirudha Aadesh Pathak (SAAP) Mumbai for the first in the state of Goa started making eco-friendly Ganesh Idols.

Eco friendly Ganesh Idols which are made from paper extracted from Ram-Naam books and which are available in all the Upasana Center Worldwide. Important fact is that these Idols are made by devotee and not artisans. Devotees of Ponda Upasana Center come together and carry out this wonderful work of devotional services.

The concept of making eco friendly Ganesh idols is the brainchild of our Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu , as was the concept of an Academy of Disaster Management which was formed in the year 2002. Both were formed to deal with disaster through of altogether different kinds. Today there is a great deal of awareness amongst the general public about the advantage the an eco-friendly Ganesh idol presents ,as compared to that made out of plaster of paris. These are:

(i) Being made out of paper in particular ‘Raam naam’ notebook .It dissolves completely within a matter of few hours as compared to days required for an idol made out plaster of paris.

(ii) It is extremely light in weight as a result of which makes handling of large size idol particularly easy.

(iii) The colors used are non-toxic, these are natural colors and therefore do not pollute the water.

(iv) The paper when dissolved serves as a source of food for marine life.

Our Upasana Centre also did organized an Exhibition stall at Maruti Devasthan hall in Varkhande, Ponda, Goa.We received an overwhelming response from the people who witnessed this wonderful event. People couldn’t believe that such a beautiful piece of art is formed by devotees. More & more people insisted to display the Ganesh idols into our Upasana centre .So that many people all over can take opportunity and book Ganesh Idols and be the part of Ram-Rajya in the forth coming. We have started taking booking of eco –friendly Ganesh Idols at our Upasana Center.

It is a small yet significant efforts from our side to make the world a better place to live in.After all “ Yudha Maaza Ram Karnaar, Samarth Dattaguru Muladhar, Sacharaha Vanar sainikoham ,Ravan Marnar Nishchitaha ’’
